Research Participation Request: Asexuality and Intimacy

I am master's student at Illinois State University and I am conducting a survey regarding asexual people's attitudes to and experiences of romantic partner relationships. I am inviting your participation, which involves filling out an online questionnaire. Participation in the task will take approximately 15 minutes.

Note that you do not have to identify as asexual to participate in this study. I am interested in the opinions of people of all sexualities (asexual, heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual, pansexual, etc.). The only requirement for participation is that you must be at least 18 years of age. Upon completion of the survey you will have the opportunity to be entered into a raffle for a $20 Amazon.com gift card.

If you would like to take the survey, please follow this link:

You will be directed to a consent form. If you consent, you will be directed to the survey.

The IRB protocol ID for this project is IRB-2018-277

Research Project: If you are 18 or older and questioning, queer, unidentified, unsure, intersex, lesbian, bisexual, asexual, pansexual, or gay, please participate in a national and anonymous on-line survey study on coping with discrimination. The study is being conducted by Dr. Darrell Greene and Dr. Paula Britton through John Carroll University and the JCU Education and Allied Studies Department. The study will take about 20 to 30 minutes to complete. Benefit to you as a participant involves contributing to our understanding of the effects of discrimination on our communities, and how to better help counselors help LGBTQI people manage minority stress. Asexuality Survey

I’ve been asked to post a link to a survey regarding Asexuality by a Rosa G. Rodriguez. Who is a senior undergraduate at Northern Illinois University majoring in psychology, with an interest in studying sexual minorities. She is currently working on her honors thesis, the topic of which is asexuality, relationships, and coming out. With the assistance of her adviser Dr. Brad Sagarin

"The purpose of this study is to gather data on relationships, both sexual and romantic, and coming-out experiences for ace-identifying individuals. This study came about because of the marginilization of the asexual community in the available research on human sexuality. It serves the purpose of shedding more light on the community as a whole as well as generating data that could lead to new avenues of research.

The web-based survey is available for ace-identifying individuals who are 18 years or older. It is comprised of 15 questions concerning romantic and sexual experiences, as well as coming-out processes. All participants will remain completely anonymous."

Thank you for your time,

Rosa G. Rodriguez

Also Anyone who identifies as ace can participate, including demisexuals and gray-As.
